During the early 20th century, designers who travel to other parts of the world took ideas and influence from their visited countries not their own. In fact, archaeological excavations were also a very big influence to different artists and designers in incorporating it to their work as an artistic design. Art Deco Design Considered as an Eclectic Art

Eclectic art or eclecticism is a unique kind of art design that involves the use of different kind of mixed style in the fine arts. According to Hume, Eclecticism is “the borrowing of a variety of styles from different sources and combining them”. There are no specific styles in eclecticism, it is a single art that is a combination of different arts from different historical style influences. Art Deco Design is a type of eclectic art since influences are taken from different sources and those influences are incorporated in a specific art deco design.
